  Is a twin brother of Robert Clyde Tripp. Clarence Whitfield ( Ting ) Tripp, a retired Chief Petty Officer, of the United States Navy, age 85, died March 7, 1999, at a Rest Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado from lung cancer. He was born in Snydeder, Oklahoma on October 1, 1913. Chief Tripp was a crew member of the USS Ramapo ( AO-12 ) in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, during the Japanese bombing. Upon retirement from the United States Navy, he served 15 years at the Air force Academmy in a civil service position. His wife Helen E. Betty, Pepperd proceeded him in death in 1996. He is survived by a twin brother, Robert C. Tripp, retired Navy Commander of McLean, Virginia. Inurment service will be held on 1 April 2:00 P. M. at Arlington National Cemetery. They will no doubt edit it. They said they would have to confirm his death with the funeral home in Colorado Springs which I suppose is standard practice. From twin brother Robert.
