    • Edith Annette Fish Ruppe died June 13, 1945 of a cerebral hemorrhage at Emanuel Hospital. Funeral services will be held at J. P. Finley & Sons at 4 P. M. Mrs. Ruppe, who was born in Canada, lived at Pendleton for many years where her husband was engaged in wheat ranching, later moving to Portland, where the family home was established at 2330 NE Stanton Street. Mr. Ruppe died in 1931. Mr. & Mrs. Ruppe were western pioneers, having crossed the plains on the old Oregon Trail and the marriage took place when they arrived at their destination in eastern Oregon. Mrs. Ruppe is survived by two sons, Ernest Ruppe of Portland and Herbert A. Ruppe, Strathmore, Alberta, Canada; a daughter, Mrs. Don C. Jaxtheimer, Portland; seven grandchildren, three of which are in the armed forces, and two great-grandchildren.
