  Charles E Tripp 712 North 9th Street Herrin, Illinois, 62948 Phone 618-942-7208 Charles E. Tripp, Professor is the one person that did the gound work for the entire Tripp family in southern Illinois. He did this work when there was little information available in the neat little packages we are handed today. He found the grave site where the first Tripps in the area were buried. He gained valuable infomation from the stones there for us all to study and try to trace farther back. Thank you, Charles Tripp, Professor, you got us started! When his wife died with alzimers, he committed suicide in 1993. A sad story about a very great man. Though I never met him personally, he was my friend. Herman William Tripp--Remembering----
