  • Notes

    • Lydia Phillips is my 3rd Great Grandaunt, my 1st Cousin four times removed, 2nd Cousin 5 times removed, and 2nd Cousin four times removed. Cousin Silvia Meyers Higgins writes: I didn't know quite how to put this in the computer. Deacon John Phillips and his wife Mary Chamberlin adopted Lydia Phillips (biological daughter of Lydia Tripp) when she was 3 months old. Another descendant gave Lydia Tripp's date of birth as 1770 which would have made her only 13 when she gave birth to her dauughter, Lydia Phillips. She said "Lydia was born in a wigwam, in a hamlet in Deer Park, New York when Lydia Tripp was 13." Lydia Phillips was only about 14 when she married Josiah Brown. Guess they did things at a young age back then!......Thanks Sylvia. Herman William Tripp--Remembering......
