  • Notes 

    • Daniel Covington moved with his father to Tennessee, married Mary Horton and moved to Mississippi, near Granada, Mississippi. There they owned and farmed a plantation. In 1870 having lost the plantation due to the Civil War, he moved his family to California, settling in Old San Bernadino, which was between the present San Bernadino and Redlands California. Daniel Covington and two of his sons, William D. Covington and Peter H. Covington served in the Confederate Army in the Civil War.
