    • Joseph P. Reynolds was foster father to my father's father John William Tripp. He was married to Mahala Snelson who was John William Tripp's mother's aunt or John William Tripp's Great Aunt Mahala Snelson Reynolds. According to Joseph P. Reynolds will, he lived in Rose Hill, Mahaska County Iowa and owned land as follows: Part of the South East Quarter,Section 9,Township 75, Range 14,Acres 60.Beginning at the South West Corner of the South West Quarter of the South East 1/4 of said Section 9, running thence north 90 rods, thence east 100 and six and 2/3 rods to the place of beginning containg 60 acres. He also owned lots in the town of Rose Hill formerly called Ornbaum, namely lots 26,27 and 28. Herman William Tripp-- Remembering----
