    • 2022: There is a real mix-up here, even in Randall's Peleg Gen book. Randall says Albro Tripp Jr. and Laura Carpenter had a son Henry. and two daughters, Lorena and Alrena. In the 1850 census, Laura Carpenter, now married to John C Tripp, Albro's brother is listed with four young Tripps: Thomas H [Henry?], 22, Alvena, 18, Albro, 15, Deborah, 12. Whose children are they? When did Albro, Jr. die and when did Laura marry John C.?
Some researcher has decided the son Henry is the one married to Lydia Hall. However, he appears in the 1850 census already married, with a daughter. He can't be single in one and married with a child in the other. I have researched him and his children, detached him from Albro Jr., and marked him "Brick Wall."
There are several census source mix-ups with different children appearing and disappearing. Someone had listed them all as belonging to Henry and Lydia. I have cleaned that up.
Also there are faint Civil War sources for a Henry Thomas Tripp (born 23 May 1823) [I believe it's 1828] to Albro Tripp and Laura Carpenter [she would have been too young in 1823!] who died in 1864 of wounds in battle.

2022: One military form lists him as married and having a widow. No other mention.
