    • Silas Clark married Sarah Tripp, daughter of John Tripp and Martha Phillips, on 11-22-1810, according to the Wright Family Bible ( from which most of these dates were taken ). The 1820 Census of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Abington Township, sshow Silas Clark and his wife ( both 26-45 ) and two daughters under 10, two sons under 10. Silas was the son of William Clark, a deacon and first settler in Abington Township, Luzerne County, 1806. His wife was the first white woman in Abington. He and James Dean erected the first saw-mill on the Tunkhannock River, 1806. His church, built in 1809, was the first church.
