• Notes

  Apr 2024/CD: Gordon and Betsey had two children before they married. The birth records of both children indicate the parents as Betsey and Gordon Tripp. Gordon and his first wife Ellen were not living together in the 1900 census and had no children. Ellen died in 1905 of tuberculosis. Gordon & Betsey's two sons, Nelson and Chester, were probably "love" children.
