  References: Randall, Joseph manuscript from the New Bedford Library, Breffni Whelan, Descendant. Bock: His will, naming his son John as executor, was dated 20 January 1784 and was proved 3 May 1791. He was a farmer with 40 acres, located a short distance north of Central Village, near the cemetery where buried. He was a follower of Anna Wilkinson. He injured his health by fasting for 40 days, falling a victim to measles in his weakened condition.
