  References: Randall, Joseph manuscript from the New Bedford Library; Bock: His will, dated 28 May 1737, was proved on April 9, 1738 and a citation was issued to the executrix, Mrs. Mary Tripp on 21 March 1737/8. He was not ment in his father's will of 29 December 1713. he was called Ensign on son Thomas's marrige records. ( Austin 208 (b); Dartmouth VR 1:281 (b); Bristol County Probates 9:36; Randall, Joseph Tripp 3; Valentine 183, were called a resident of Dutchess County New York, undoubtedly in error, as his will was recorded in Rhode Island; MA IGI [b]).
