    • William Willard Shedd is my Great Grandfather.

      Herman William Tripp--Remembering----

This picture was taken in 1893. Starting on the left is my Great Grandfather William Willard Shedd, who was born on July 14 1835, and died January 30, 1911. (This is our son Clifford Allen Tripp's birth date, thirty seven years later). He is holding his first born grandchild my aunt Mary Rhoda Shedd Hansen who was born December 15, 1892 and died in 1975. To their left is Great Grandmother Rhoda M. Graves Shedd who was born January 13, 1834 and died Februaty 20, 1905. To her left is Aunnt Dora Shedd Bennett, who was born August 8, 1872 and died May 9, 1943. To her left is her brother and my Grandfather Herman Graves Shedd who was born October 19, 1868 and died March 6, 1953. Standing with him is his wife and my Grandmother Katate Cottingham Shedd born July 28, 1869 (exactly 54 years to the day before I was born) and died April 16,1922 (exactly one year three months and twelve days before I was born). Standing down below is Uncle John William Shedd (Uncle Will) who waas born September 14, 1870 and died May 21, 1940. This picture was taken in Fairbury Illinois, I assume, at Great Grandfather William Willard Shedd's house. My mother Florence Marjorie was born near this town at Weston, Illinois of parents Herman Graves Shedd and Kate Cottingham Shedd September 26, 1898. Another coincidence is the fact that Aunt Mary's birthdate is exactly 21 years after my Grandfather John William Tripp's birthdate. Herman William Tripp--Remembering----
