  Happy birthday Grandma Kate Cottingham Shedd. You are 132 years old today! I never got to meet you, but I got to be born on your birthday! I heard a lot about you, and you must have been a spunky girl, to be married to my Grandpa Shedd. I think I inherited a lot of characteristics from you. Most important, you were the mother of, and named my mother, Florence Marjorie Shedd. You were 29 years, 1 month, and 28 days old the day she was born. My mother was 24 years, 10 months, annd 2 days old, the day I was born. She was happy to see me, but unhappy that you were not here, when she gave birth to her first born son, and your first born grandson. You had died 1 year, 2 months and 22 days before I showed up. I thank you for sharing your birthday with me! July 28, 1991. Herman William Tripp--Remembering---- Seventy years ago today you died! What a sad day for your family. My mother has always missed you very much. She thought of you a lot. I know she thought of you the day I was born. It would have been your 54th birthday. I think my mother cried for me and for you!
