    • Alice Myrtle Sanford is my Grandmother. I remember her as a perfect Grandmother, living with us for short periods when she got older. She was always ready to listen to my sisters and I, about any problems we might have at the time, such as "WhWhy do we have to wash our feet every night before we go to bed?". She would give us the same reason that Mom and Dad gave us, but at least we had a second opinion. She kept tract of everyone in the family. Quite a chore when you remember that she had five sons, six daughter-inlaws and quite a few grandchildren and toward the end of her life, great grandchildren. She seemed to love them all equally, and had time for everyone. Grandma was devastated when Grandpa died from the fall from the hayrack, when he was making hay. She carried on however, hoovering over all of her descendants like the great Grandmother that she was. She was a widow for 21 years 5 months and 1 day. When she died, she was 77 years 1 month and 18 days of age. Our family loved her every minute of it, and we will remember her forever!! Herman William Tripp--Remembering----
