  i)Given name may be "James". It does not appear to end in the letter "s" and since there was a James, born 26 Aug 1778 in the first marriage of Gawin Lawther I supposed that this child had a different name. However subsequent information (PLT Archives, Vol TV15 1M2, p. 15) leads one to believe that the son James of the first marriage was already deceased when his father remarried. It appears that this son was also a "James".
