  Married: Frances Gunby Pilchard, his first and third wife, an actress who became a sculptor.[19] They married in 1937, and divorced in 1939 after having one child together, who died before their divorce. Frances Gunby Pilchard, for the 2nd time; they remarried in 1944, and divorced in 1953, after having two more children together: Pepa Philippa Ferrer (born 1941, conceived during his marriage with Tripp) and Mark Young Ferrer (born 1944).
