Descendants of Charles Tripp and Jane Woodworth 

Charles Tripp was born in Dutchess Co., NY in 1761. He served in the Revolution in Captain Job Wright's Company, Colonel Willet's Regiment of the New York Line. He was living in Stillwater, >NY when he enlisted in 1781. In 1792, he married Jane Woodworth, daughter of Solomon and Phebe Thornton Woodworth at Mayfield, NY. He later lived in Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY before moving to Percy Township, Northumberland Co., Ontario about 1800. A number of their children came to Michigan in the 1860’s  - 1870’s while others remained in Ontario.

I would like correspond and share information with others who have the same research interests. I am glad to answer specific questions regarding the source of information that I have placed on-line. This represents a work in progress and one day I hope to publish a more complete, documented family history.

To protect the privacy of living ancestors, I have omitted the names of individuals born after 1908 (100 years) whose death has not been documented.
