Gr-granddaughter of Thomas Church and Mary Tripp, his wife; James Miller and Rebecca Munroe, his wife; Eleazer Luther and Elizabeth Manchester, his wife.

Gr-gr-granddaughter of Nelson Miller and Sarah Allen, his wife; Nathaniel Manchester and Elizabeth Cox, his wife.

Thomas Church (1761-1843) in 1777 served in Capt. William Throop's company. He was under Capt. Viall Allen in Sullivan's expedition, and in 1780 served at Newport in Captain Remington's company, Colonel Miller's regiment. He received a pension for his service until his death. He was born and died in Bristol, R. I.

Nelson Miller (1755-1840) served as drum-major in Colonel Crary's regiment, and was at the battles of White Plains, Trenton, Princeton, and Valley Forge. He was born in Warren; died in Bristol, R. I.

Nathaniel Manchester (1744-1833) enlisted as a private and survived to receive a pension for his service. He was born and died in Bristol, R. I.

Gr-granddaughter of Simeon Belknap and Miriam Edson, his wife.

Simeon Belknap (1758-1841) was taken prisoner when Royalton was attacked by the Indians and British, 1780, carried to Canada and it was two years before he was able to escape. He suffered through life from injuries received. He was born in Vermont; died in Randolph.

Gr-gr-granddaughter of Isaac Tripp, Jr., and Martha Wall, his wife; Nathan Potter and Sarah Knight, his wife, m. 1778.

Gr-gr-gr-granddaughter of Isaac Tripp and Sarah Dow, his 3rd wife.

Isaac Tripp (1700-78) was a patriot of zeal and loyalty; also member of Legislature in the town of Westmoreland, Pa., where he died.

Nathan Potter enlisted, 1775, in Capt. Thomas Holden's company, Col. J. M. Varnum's regiment, and served several other enlistments under different commands. He applied for a pension, 1836, and it was allowed. He was born in Rhode Island; died in Coventry, L. I.

William Dunbar (1752-98) was a member of the South Carolina Legislature, 1781-82. He was born in Ireland.

Jabez Stevens (1758-1850) enlisted, 1775, in Capt. Josiah Steven's company, Col. Ephraim Doolittle's regiment, Massachusetts troops. He was born in New Bedford, Mass.; died in Ohio.

[p.428] John Macomber (1734-1802) served several enlistments under different commands, 1776-80, Massachusetts Line. He was born in Dartmouth, Mass.; died in Dutchess County, N. Y.

Ezekiel Davis (1734-1812) was a private in Capt. John Hayward's company of minute men, Col. Abijah Pierce's regiment, at the Lexington Alarm; in 1776 was corporal in Capt. Grant Heald's company and later promoted sergeant. He was born in Eastern, Mass.; died in Knox, Albany County, N. Y.
